Frequently-Asked Questions
What do I need to do to book an appointment?
New Clients
Please contact me (Heather) by phone at (780) 604-3861 before booking an appointment. I will reach out to you by phone for a brief phone consultation before your first appointment.
This gives me a chance to get a brief synopsis of your health before I see you, and find out what your experience with massage therapy has been in the past. It also helps me know what sort of outcomes you are hoping for, as well as your goals for your health.
After the phone consultation, you can book appointments using our convenient online booking system!
Existing Clients
All existing clients can book appointments using our online booking system.
What can I expect at my appointment?
The treatment room is in the front of the house, to the left of the front door. There are four shallow steps to the front door. Parking can be found on the street or the driveway.
If you are unable to ascend the steps of the house, please let me know by phone and we can book a homecare session instead.
I will be masked during my appointment, and masks are required for clients. It is very important that you are feeling well for your appointment, as it ensures the safety of my family and my other clients.
I will be wearing my mask the entire time. You need to be feeling 100% healthy during your appointment. Please don’t abuse this. If you repeatedly cancel and rebook your appointment then I will have to talk to you about it and if the behaviour continues I will need to let you go as a client.
New clients: after you book your initial appointment, I will reach out to you and we will have a quick consultation via phone call where I’ll ask what your experience with massage therapy is, what your expectations are and if you there’s anything going on in your health that you think I should be aware of before coming in.
All clients: please arrive on time or 5 minutes before your appointment. If your really early please wait in your car and come to the front door at 5 minutes to your apartment time. If you are late, I will call you after 5-10 minutes. If you no-show, I’ll try my best to get ahold of you to hear what’s going on, otherwise I will leave and go home 20 minutes after your appointment.
COVID-19 Information
If COVID-19 waves are higher or if you have participated in higher risk activities close to the time of your appointment, (such as travel, eating out, concerts, shows), if you have been around someone who recently has tested positive for COVID-19 but you have tested negative and still feeling healthy, we can still go ahead with your appointment but we both must be fully and properly masked the entire time.
If COVID-19 waves are lower and both of us are just living our boring lives as usual, I’m okay if you remove your mask when you are lying face down. I will require you to properly wear your mask when you are not face down on the treatment table.
